Vestil FWBC Fork-Mounted Trash Bin Compactor Stop compacting waste bins by hand. The Vestil FWBC uses a forklift and the unit's own dead weight to drive down bin contents — forcing waste into a smaller and smaller area so you reclaim wasted space, fit more per bin, and cut how often you haul. Two built-in sets of fork pockets make it easy to move between work areas and to lower the compactor into the bin. Heavy-duty steel, rectangular 42" × 42" design, with incremental height adjustment and an included safety chain. Why It's Different: No power, no hydraulics — gravity and mass do the compacting, so there's almost nothing to maintain. Choose Your Configuration: Weight Class — 2,000 lb: lighter-duty compaction for everyday waste streams Weight Class — 4,000 lb: maximum compaction force for dense or high-volume waste Fill Type — Empty: ships light; you add ballast on site to reach the rated weight (lowest freight cost) Fill Type — Cement-Filled: arrives pre-filled and ready to use (much heavier to ship) Best For: Warehouses, manufacturing plants, and high-volume waste operations that run fork trucks and want to compress bin contents to reduce pickups and disposal costs without investing in a powered compactor. ⚠️ Empty units must be ballasted by the customer to the rated weight to compact effectively — they do not compact well unfilled. ⚠️ Cement-filled units are very heavy (up to 4,522 lb) and ship via heavy LTL / flatbed freight — plan receiving accordingly. ⚠️ Your forklift must be rated to lift the unit's operating weight (2,000 or 4,000 lb) with a safe margin. ⚠️ Use the lower fork pockets for transport and the upper pockets for lowering the unit into the bin. ⚠️ This is a fork truck attachment — it requires an operating fork truck.
