They were originally stationed at NAS Miramar, but have since bee n switched to NAS Oceana and have switched to the F-14Ds. They played a key role in the air support during the air strike in Lebanon in 1983. This is the color version of their current MASCOT patch and shows him wearing a mask for his protection.
