Calabretta are one of the OG wineries on Mount Etna and their Vigne Vecchie one of Etna's most historic wines. It's 100% Nerello Mascalese from their oldest vines in Contrada Calde rara Sottana and Taccione, aged for up to nine years in large casks before being bottled for release. The wine walks a tightrope between being mature, yet fresh and energetic at the same time with a distinct personality.
