My wife, Jane (the principal harpist with Opera Australia), has collaborated with Emma Sholl, the associate principal flautist from the Sydney Symphony, to create a divine new CD entitled ‘Vignettes’.Vignettes features enchanting melodies, energy-filled rhythms and a rich contemporary kaleidoscope of works for flute/alto flute and harp, which are reflective, sensuous, joyful and jazzy!Jane and Emma made arrangements of quirky compositions as well as including two inspired original works written especially for them. Several of the tracks also feature double bass and percussion.This album has something for everyone, beautiful classical music, jazz-infused chamber and contemporary repertoire from leading Australian composers.
