Another masterful design, the Vineyard carpet is a fairly dense, complex composition. Any sense of heaviness, however, is banished by the complex rhythms that Voysey establishes, a gain further enhanced by our artists' placement of color in the field. There is vertical, horizontal and diagonal repetition in the field which creates a sense of movement and life.
