Provenance Original to 1980, this stunning diamond step-cut solitaire comes accompanied with its original box and paperwork! The step-cut diamond has been facetted with exacting pr ecision and displays a wonderful hall-of-mirrors effect for which the step-cut is so adored. It is approximately H-I in colour, and VS1-2 in clarity. Claw set in an open-back setting with refined fleur-de-lys style openwork in the gallery. The ring sits nice and low in profile, making it comfortable and practical for everyday wear. Shoulders very elegantly taper to a solid platinum shank. Bought in 1981, the original paperwork from Mappin & Webb states the cost, which valued today would be over £10,500.
