This Vintage 10k Solid Gold Ostby Barton Ruby Ring has wonderful color and detail! The ring holds a lab created rectangle cut ruby in a setting with unmistakable Art Deco details on the sides in rose gold and white gold. The setting is marked OB for Ostby Barton, 10k with a Maltese cross and tests for 10k gold. The ring is solid gold, not filled or plated. The top of the ring measures approximately 14 mm north to south x 11.5 mm east to west at the white gold area. It's a gorgeous design. This ring is in good vintage condition and it is ready to be worn and enjoyed. This man's ring is sure to get noticed! O.B. is the makers mark for Ostby & Barton. Englelhart Cornelius Ostby and Nathan B. Barton partnered in 1879 to form the company. By the end of the 1800's, Ostby & Barton was the largest manufacturer of rings in the United States. Sadly, Ostby perished on the Titanic in 1912. Ostby & Barton jewelry is sought after today due to its historical significance and it is known for its high quality and craftsmanship.
