It’s all about the details when it comes to my vintage button rings. In my college days, I was fascinated by historical costumes — the colors, the fabrics, the layers of detail. I was drawn deeply by the history of the industry of fashion as well — where the fabrics, textiles, and design elements originated and how they were incorporated into the works of the day. Buttons, of course, were both an intricate and elaborate detail in the allure of the costumes I studied. They became a center of my inspiration and, over time, these vintage button rings were born. These one of a kind rings, made from buttons found in my personal button collection gathered over decades, represent the exotic and the elaborate. They carry with them the history of fashion and, when they wrap around your finger, they bring you to a place of beauty and nostalgia.
