No entirely sure what these were originally intended for Could be for very thin cigarettes, paper money or even business cards.They measure 10 x 7cm and are 1cm, thick and are open ed by a secure spring clip.Inside they all have a decorative metal clip on a spring, to hold whatever it is that's inside, in place, inscribed with MADE IN JAPAN.I have 4 different colours 1. red snakeskin (larger pattern)2. red snakeskin (smaller pattern)3. gold4. brown and redThey all have varying degrees of wear, from long years in storage.
