This encaustic artwork was inspired by a repile I did on a house I own in Newtown, Wellington. I kept the old relics found on the job site and incorporated them into the artwork, p aying homage to the house and history. Newspaper adverts from the 1950’s, taken from under the carpet to stop drafts from the floor boards is used as a background, as are the floorboards used as my substrate to paint on. Show more
