A hand-knotted Middle Eastern saddle bag dating to the mid 20th century. Densely woven in wool with bold geometric tribal patterning in deep red, burnt orange, black and natural to nes. Original tassels intact at each end. Traditionally used by nomadic tribes, draped across pack animals for daily use. The weave and pattern vary between tribal groups - no two are identical.
