Red cased glass exit light globe of spherical form with acid-etched white "EXIT" lettering wrapping around the body. The globe features a polished ground fitter opening designed to mount over an illuminated exit fixture, allowing the internal light source to project through the ruby glass while the etched lettering remained brightly illuminated. This style of globe was commonly used in commercial buildings, theaters, schools, factories, and other public spaces before the widespread adoption of internally illuminated plastic exit signs. The heavy glass construction and bold typography are characteristic of early electrically illuminated safety signage. Shows scattered scratches, surface wear, and minor handling marks throughout. White lettering exhibits scattered scuffs and transfer marks. Several small manufacturing inclusions and bubbles are present within the glass. No cracks or major chips observed.
