Here the wood spice is no longer subtle though neither does it dominate the complex and relatively high-toned nose that is ripe and pretty while showcasing lovely red and dark berr y fruit aromas amply laced with earth and underbrush notes that are also picked up by the detailed and strikingly long full-bodied flavors that possess plenty of palate staining extract. This is a bit oaky for me but there is no question that this is a wine of real quality that should repay up to a decade of cellar time. Drink 2013+. Score - 90-92.
