Bright violet color. Intense spice- and mineral-laced black and blue fruit aromas show very good clarity and pick up a floral nuance with air. On the palate, juicy, nicely focused cassis and boysenberry flavors become sweeter with aeration. A smoky quality comes up on the finish, which clings with very good tenacity and just a hint of dusty tannins.
