I'll admit it. I love romorantin, especially when it's grown by Michel Gendrier at the Domaine des Huards. This is one of the great white wines of the Loire, with the coolness of a cave carved out of white tuffeau rock. It parallels that rock in a flavor of almond meringue, a savory heirloom apple freshness and equally fresh lime zest across the palate.
