A much finer expression than the inaugural Janine Rose sparkling from Huff in my view, this 100% pinot noir is crisp, taught, dry and vibrant, with seemingly less dosage (sugar) th an the 2010, yet still fully ripe and focused on inviting tart red berry fruit. Biscuity, yeasty-leesy notes add their own dimension of flavour without impinging on the fruit-dominant palate, making this a lively, fruity rosé for enjoyment now or short term hold.
