(Barrel sample) A very restrained, cool and almost mute nose only grudgingly reveals attractively complex red and dark currant aromas that are liberally laced with spice and warm e arth nuances. There is excellent volume and fine concentration to the muscular and robust middle weight plus flavors that display a lovely sense of underlying tension on the youthfully austere and serious finish.
