The 2013 Verdejo is sold as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon, as they often had problems with the tasting panel of the Rueda appellation that felt their wines were not 'typical .' A shame, because I think they are a good and pure expression of Verdejo, produced from organically cultivated vineyards. The wine has a strong personality and feels very much alive, with good concentration and marked flavors, aromas and notes of hay, straw, recently cut grass, fennel, aniseed and apples, with some spiciness and pungent, delineated acidity.
