Violaceous is a 7.5 ct Arizona Fire Agate, with overtones of lavender, violet, green and gold. The name is descriptive of it's lucious violet iridescence. The stone's dimentions ar e 9/16" x 1/2." Fire agate is found only in the southwestern U.S.A. and in northern Mexico. Fire Agates have a hardness of 6.5-7 on the MOHS scale so these irridescent rainbow colored stones are extremely durable.This remarkable stone is 3/4" long and 5/8" high and would be suitable set in either a pendant or a ring design. This fire agate is available on its own or you may contact me to create a one a kind design using this stone.
