They are named after their blue-purple colour but can also be found in yellow, blue and cream colours. They are symbolic of virtue, modesty and humility.Our violet flower jewellery is based on the Viola tricolour- Commonly known as heartsease, this charming wildflower was the forerunner of the garden pansy. It exhibits delightful variations in petal colouring and patterning in the many flowers carried throughout the summer.Our inspiration came from the artwork of Caroline Maria Applebee (c.1799-1854). Unfortunately very little is known about Miss Applebee, like so many female artists of the time. She was an extremely talented amateur artist whose works went unpublished.
