This streamlines the locating process by eliminating the need for an operator to carry two devices in the field. A combination utility locator and ferrous metal detector designed to locate buried pipes and cables and to detect buried ferrous metal objects such as valve box covers and buried tanks. The one-watt transmitter applies a locate frequency by direct connection or induction.
