Work this Vis umami with a little bit of handmade action yourself – make the notorious Viška pogača. Fry plenty of onions in olive oil, adding small salted fish just before the end . Prepare the dough, divide it into two parts, and roll it out – place one part in a baking tray, fill it with the onions and fish, then cover it with the other half. Brush lavishly with olive oil and bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
