Vittorio Formaggia is an Italian violin maker. He has been hand building instruments in the Cremonese tradition since 1979. Formaggia has built hundreds of instruments following th e Stradivari model, many of which have won him awards. Formaggia's viola is beautifully crafted using the finest seasoned Balkan maple and Italian spruce. Hand-applied varnish has a lovely golden-orange hue. This viola features an expansive sound with great projection and full harmonics. Consistently accurate craftsmanship produces a fine instrument that is a reliable choice for professional musicians.
