The Vivid Creative SPS Kit fits over the end of a compatible conductivity probe and creates a more controlled pressure and flow environment, helping the probe recover faster if bubbles enter the housing and making the salinity trend line easier to trust. Salinity Probe Shield and Flow Features Helps shield conductivity probes from microbubbles and debris. Designed to create controlled water movement and pressure around the probe tip. Can help produce a steadier salinity trend line for aquarium monitoring. Fits Neptune Systems conductivity probes and similar 12 mm conductivity probes with a comparable electrode design. Can be supplied by a small pump such as a Neptune PMUP, Sicce Micra, or a suitable manifold port. Useful in sump, overflow, or drain chamber installations. Install the pressure screen in the SPS housing and handle it carefully because the screen and probe tip are delicate. Wet the SPS housing with aquarium water if needed so the probe slides into place more smoothly. Carefully insert the probe through the top of the SPS housing until it seats against the pressure screen. Connect the 1/4" supply line to the quick-connect fitting. Connect the other end of the line to a suitable pump or controlled manifold port. Submerge the probe and SPS Kit before turning on the flow source. Gently shake the assembly and briefly cover the lower opening to help expel trapped air. Allow the reading to settle; the stabilization period may take a few minutes to about an hour.
