The shoulders and arms still hold their old power, yet every line of the body admits the years that made it.No paint. No print. No ink. The image exists in depth, not on the surface. Every visible point is a controlled absence in the material, and the figure appears where light finds those voids and returns. Move, and the surface answers. Points brighten, sink back, reappear. The body keeps being rebuilt by the light, the way time keeps rebuilding a man.The title is literal. Nothing about this figure arrived finished. He was forged slowly, by labor, by loss, by repetition, by endurance.
