Domaine Georges Glantenay is the fruits of generational pass-over going back to 1893 with Pierre Glantenay. In 2013, brothers and sisters Guillaume and Sarah took over the reins from their father Pierre Glantenay. The estate's holdings are rather small accounting for eight hectares of vineyards planted in the villages of Chambolle-Musigny, Volnay and Pommard. The viticulture is an important part of their vision; practicing integrated organics, using massale selection and bringing the yields as low as possible. The pair is amongst the earliest pickers of the village. The style here is very pure, with all their fruits being destemed and a judicious use of oak. The 'Chambolle-Musigny' village is a judicious blend from three separate old vines parcels belonging to their Grandmother's side of the family. A northern facing site called 'Les Creux Baissants', 'Les Condemennes' who sits nicely below 'Les Charmes' Premier Cru and 'Les Fremieres' below 'Les Baudes' Premier Cru.
