Jobe Valves Vortex PartFill Float Valve The Vortex PartFill is built for rainwater harvesting tanks. Rather than keeping your tank topped off, it maintains a low reserve level during dry spells — so services fed by the tank keep running while the rest of the tank stays empty, ready to capture the next rainfall. How it works: The valve installs through the side wall of the tank, mounted above the overflow level to prevent backflow. A weighted float on a cord creates the differential between minimum and mains-fed levels — up to 6 inches (150mm), depending on pressure. As the tank empties, the float travels down the cord until it hits the bottom stop, activating the valve. The valve runs until the float lifts clear of the bottom stop, then shuts off — leaving the rest of the tank's capacity free for rain. Specs: up to 159 GPM flow rate, available in 1¼", 1½", and 2" NPT inlet sizes. Pressure rated 5–150 PSI. Construction: glass-filled nylon (valve body) and Acetal (internal parts), with an ABS arm assembly, EPDM diaphragm, TPU seal, PP/Nylon filter, and 304 stainless steel hardware — built for the non-potable water conditions typical of rainwater harvesting setups. A slow shut-down mechanism minimizes water hammer. Servicing: the valve body unscrews from the tail for maintenance, cleaning, and part replacement without fully draining the tank.
