It utilizes Vortex’s HD optical System, which utilizes select glass elements for excellent resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, and high light-transmission while simultaneously reducing chromatic aberrations. The Viper HD 3000 offers three ranging modes: Line of Sight, Horizontal Component Distance, and Scan Mode. Line of sight displays the actual distance to the target while horizontal component distance displays the angle compensated distance.
