They're engineered to ventilate flues, water heater systems, bathroom fans and range hoods. These Pipe Caps have an all-aluminum construction. In addition, the round design is aerodynamic to withstand wind speeds up to 200 mph. However, these are for covering metal pipes only. They are not for ventilating wood-burning stoves or fireplaces because those applications require steel applications.
