Officially Licensed US Navy VRC-40 Rawhides Squadron Patches — Carrier Onboard Delivery Legends The Rawhides of VRC-40 have been delivering the goods to carriers at sea for decades. Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 40 (VRC-40), the Rawhides, has been the Navy's premier carrier onboard delivery (COD) squadron, operating the C-2A Greyhound to deliver cargo, mail, passengers, and critical supplies to aircraft carriers at sea. The Rawhides' mission is simple but essential — if the carrier needs it, the Rawhides bring it. From engine parts to VIP passengers, the COD mission keeps the fleet supplied and connected.
