The VVS has a single row of custom wound coils, 1 for each string. This makes for a more focused sound when compared to a 2 row pickup. However, just like the rest of the VV series , the response can always be tailored to where you need it! The voice of your pickup is largely defined by its resonant frequency (RF). The VV Series allows you to adjust where the RF is and how apparent it is using the 2 dials on the top of the pickup. Each row of coils inside the VV Series are humbucking so you don't have to worry about any 60 cycle hum ruining your tone. The case is fabricated from extremely durable hdpe plastic, and the whole pickup is epoxy filled to ensure years of longevity.
