Ried Stein is a vineyard found in the small Kamptal village of Engabrunn.Bernhard's family has famed this site since his great grandfather started his work there in 1889. The wines are fermented in stainless steel and left on the lees until bottling in late Summer following harvest. A full-bodied an expressive Grüner. The Ott family has been growing and producing wine in Wagram in Lower Austria since 1889. Bernhard Ott, the fourth generation to manage the winery, took the helm from his father in 1993 at the age of 21 years old, determined to produce wines of the highest quality. He replaced the old wooden casks used in the past with stainless steel and eventually Stockinger fuders. He has continued to inovate and push the winery forward over the years, introducing organic farming, then biodynamics, and whole-cluster fermentations. Grapes are harvested by hand before going through a strict selection process, before gently being pressed and fermented with wild yeast.
