Walgate Wines is Ben Walgate's post-Tillingham project, established in 2023 in Rye, East Sussex. 100% Pinot Meunier grown biodynamically and regeneratively on a mix of clay soils i n East Sussex. A mixture of whole bunches, whole berries and crushed berries were layered macerated in concrete vat for three weeks. It was pressed and combined with the free run juice heading back to concrete for four months before transferring to stainless steel and barrel. Delicate, bright and thirst quenching with cherry, pomegranate and floral aromas intermingling with subtle smoky and white pepper notes. Best served with a light chill. Show more
