Walking Tall is a 2004 action crime thriller film directed by Kevin Bray. It stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Chris Vaughn, a decorated soldier who returns to his hometown to fin d it overrun by crime and corruption. The town's only industry, a lumber mill, has closed down and a seedy casino run by Chris's old friend Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough) is now the main business. Chris, with the help of his friend Ray Templeton (Johnny Knoxville), tries to clean up the town but finds no help from the police. Forced to take matters into his own hands, Chris becomes a vigilante sheriff and fights against the corruption.
