Cody's Wish is a special horse indeed. In 2018, Cody Dorman was dealing with a genetic disorder and was granted a wish by Make-A-Wish. Part of his wish was to meet a racehorse, so a trip was arranged for him and his family to visit a thoroughbred farm in Gainsborough, KY. During that trip, a wealing walked up to Cody and put his head in his lap. With this touching site, the owners named that colt Cody's Wish. Wish won the 2022 Breeder's Cup Dirt Mile, bringing his story to the public. He was awarded the 2022 Secretariat Vox Populi Award, which honors a horse whose story or achievements touch the hearts of the public.
