Crafted of local solid walnut hardwood from Appalachia, Interior Designers rate Urbandi #1 for style and performance. Our 1.75" thick floating shelf holds up to 40 pounds per stud or up to 120 lbs. Our shelves are hand-made onsite with care and passion. With a smooth and clean look, these shelves are beautiful and functional. They are made to fulfill your design needs, to a modern style, they add a sense of nature and harmony, to a retro-rustic style, they add a touch of wholeness. Using forged US Steel which is stronger and made from up 90% recycled steel, each shelf bracket is made in-house and can hold up to 40 lbs per stud or up to 120 lbs. And to provide a beautiful and durable finish, we exclusively use commercial grade finishes plus protective clear coat for years of enjoyment. To make the installation process effortless and quick, a customer will need: Tape measure, Stud finder, Pencil, Level, Drill. Step 1: Stud installation is strongly recommended! Use a stud finder to locate studs, and lightly mark their location with a pencil.Step 2: Once you determine where to hang your shelf, using a level, line up the mounting bracket on the wall. Use a pencil to mark the bracket's screw holes on the wall studs.Step 3: Using provided screws, lightly screw the mounting bracket into the wall (do not screw completely). Using a level, check to make sure the mounting bracket is level, and fully screw the bracket into the wall.Step 4: Line up the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket extensions, and slide the shelf over them. To protect finish, avoid the use of harsh chemicals and household cleaners. Hardware may loosen over time. Periodically check that all connections are tight.
