Lodging options Option A - $39 CAD / nightStay onsite in shared bedrooms at our base for the course, Ciel et Bois — a retreat centre with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms (bedding included), wifi, and cozy common areas. Most students arrive the evening before their course (check-in anytime after 4pm) and depart on the last course day, after class. However, you’re welcome to stay for free for another night following your course if you’re travelling the next day. Some students also arrive before class on day-1 of the course. The total of $195 CAD is for your whole stay, whether you stay for 4, 5, or 6 nights. Option B – Book a hotel or Airbnb nearby Option C – Commute from home or elsewhere in Ottawa/Gatineau Meal Options Coffee and tea are included for everybody on the course. Homemade lunch & snacks: $23 CAD/dayThis includes 5 lunches for $115 CAD. Dinner & breakfast package: $47 CAD/day.The total of $235 includes: 5 dinners from day-1 of the course to day-5 of the course. Awesome spreads, served ‘family style’. If you need to leave right after class on day-5, we’ll pack your meal for you to go.If you’re arriving the evening before the course, bring your own dinner or you can order delivery to Ciel et Bois. 5 or 6 breakfasts. This is ‘self-cook/serve’ and includes fresh fruit salad, local eggs, spreads, homemade baked goods, and more. Meal plans are available to all, even if you’re not staying onsite. Ciel et Bois’ property manager, Hayley, prepares these meals with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. If you’re lucky, she’ll share her secret soup recipes with you! Please make sure to let us know about your dietary needs or allergies at least 2-weeks before your course (on your waiver form). Pick-up and drop-off - $19 CAD each way We can pick you up and drop you off at the airport or train station, or a downtown Ottawa hotel for $19 CAD each way. Pick-up time is between 4pm and 5pm on the day before your course. We’ll make a grocery store stop for you to pick up any supplies along the way. We’ll schedule drop-offs for the evening of the last day of your course* or the following morning. Alternatively, you can also arrange transportation via Uber or taxi to reach Ciel et Bois. *Please note: Do not book Ottawa train departures before 6:45pm or Ottawa flight departures before 8:30pm on your last course day. Course Site The course site, Ciel et Bois, is 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, in Cantley, QC. Ciel et Bois (which means ‘sky and woods’ and is pronounced see-el-eh-bwah) sits on 6 acres of wooded land. The gorgeous property backs onto hundreds of acres of forest with ski and bike trails, and is the perfect setting and gathering place for an intensive, incredible course.
