Her story began like so many others, in a fore st where trees tend to gather and fight for the light. While they grew taller, she couldn’t compete, so instead she spread her roots out as far as they could reach. The tall trees ignored her and taller they grew, sacrificing their foundation to claim the height throne. And when the floods came, and oh did they come, the tall trees toppled with their shallowness to blame. But the little tree was ready and remains standing even now, surrounded by a lake. Show more
