Battenwear has always prioritized balance in the items they make: balance between outdoor & city, functional & stylish, retro & contemporary, deliberate & casual . . . In this case, they set out to make a grown-up, everyday jacket for wandering about town (i.e. an item conservative enough to be worn through a wide variety of situations) that didn’t look either orthodox or boring. It was a tricky line to walk in design, and they really enjoyed it.
