Essential Maintenance to Keep Your Sawgrass Printer Running Smoothly This Waste Collection Unit (also known as the Waste Ink Tank) is a vital replacement part for the Sawgrass SG40 0, SG500, SG800, and SG1000 dye-sublimation printers. It safely stores excess ink that is automatically purged from the system during regular maintenance cycles, helping to prevent overflow and ensuring your printer continues to operate reliably. Over time, the tank fills up and needs to be replaced to avoid errors or leakage. Failing to replace a full waste tank can result in poor print quality or even printer damage. Sawgrass recommends replacing the unit approximately every 27,000 prints, depending on usage. Key Features: Compatible with all Sawgrass SG400, SG500, SG800 & SG1000 printers Collects excess ink from purging and cleaning cycles Maintains print clarity, colour accuracy, and system efficiency Quick and simple to replace — no tools required Helps protect your printer from internal ink overflow or damage An essential part of routine Sawgrass printer maintenance Keep a spare on hand if you’re running high-volume jobs or using your printer regularly.
