The "Water Bird" is part of my Birds of the Elements collection, composing of birds and plants under an elemental theme. Water, the element of adaptability, movement, depth, and fl ow. Represented in this piece by the grey heron and sacred lotus. The heron is a reminder to go slow and to make moves with intention. It hunts by standing still in the water, and flies with slow, powerful wingbeats. The sacred lotus rises from the mud, symbolising growth and transformation from suffering.
