Equipped with a high-sensitivity sensor using a Neodymium magnet, the sensor is completely sealed and submersible (IP68 rated), capable of operating underwater up to 3 feet for 3 hours. The LD-15’s amplifier delivers 56 dB of audio amplification with superior clarity and minimal distortion. It features a large meter display and three filter settings: high-range (30–5000 Hz) for surveying, low-range (30–800 Hz) for pinpointing through soil, and notch filters (150 Hz and 180 Hz) to reduce interference from power lines. Designed for both survey and pinpoint operations, the LD-15 includes a magnet base for hydrants and valves, and a sensor base plate for locating leaks beneath asphalt or concrete. Optional accessories such as a long contact rod are available for meter inspections. Powered by four C-cell batteries, the LD-15 delivers up to 80 hours of battery life and comes with stereo headphones, a padded carrying case, and waist strap for convenient field use.
