Watercolor 101: Back to Basics Watercolor Journal Monday, August 24th, 6:00-8:00 Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of watercolor painting? In this instructional class, artist Ken Oliver will teach the foundations of creating beautiful watercolor paintings and techniques that will elevate your artistic endeavors. You'll take away at least 10 important techniques that include watercolor washes, gradient watercolor washes, wet on dry, wet on wet, dry brush, color resist, color lifting, texture techniques, color layering, and color spattering. We'll then use the pages of our watercolor techniques to create a hand sewn watercolor technique journal. This is an amazingly fun class that's perfect for the beginning artist and for the experienced artist too. This class is recommended for ages 12+. All supplies and materials are included with this class. Participants also receive 20% off purchases the night of the class. When making your purchase, choose the pick up option. Your receipt will serve as your ticket. Street parking is free and untimed after 5:00. Attendees may also park in the lot between The Well Refillery and Nando or in the Locust Street garage.
