His work explores the human condition and our relationship to the world, both seen and unseen, reflecting the idea that human experience exists across physical and spiritual layers. Drawn to strong composition, hard light, and the presence of faces and figures, he often works in black and white as well as color, and has recently incorporated flash, intentional camera movement, and reflections into his practice. With a background in fine art, his photography focuses on street work, where everyday moments reveal deeper human stories. Story Behind the Image: In this series, I use water to explore how people connect to something larger than themselves. I see each person as part of a shared whole, like a drop in the ocean. Shooting underwater lets me get close as my subjects blend into the sea. The harsh Australian light and black-and-white treatment strip things back, creating a simple, open setting where people absorbed in what they’re doing feel more natural and unguarded. Paper: This piece is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, a premium, heavyweight (308gsm), bright white, 100% cotton rag paper with a smooth matte finish. This is an archival print designed to last 100+ years.
