Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A), USB-C and UART Driver Board for Feetech ST/SC Bus Servos — Single Board or Leader-and-Follower Pair for SO-ARM101, LeKiwi and LeRobot
The Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A) is a small USB-C and UART interface board that powers and controls Feetech ST/SC-series bus servos (STS3215, STS3250) from a PC, Raspberry Pi or microcontroller, and is the board most LeRobot SO-101 and LeKiwi builds use in place of the Hiwonder BusLinker. One board drives one servo chain, so a leader-and-follower SO-ARM101 pair needs two — which is how they are packed here. The Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A) is the low-cost USB interface most LeRobot builders use to drive Feetech STS3215 servos from a laptop or Raspberry Pi. Plug in 12 V, connect the servo chain, and the board appears as a serial port for LeRobot, the Waveshare servo tool or your own Python code. A direct alternative to the Hiwonder BusLinker for SO-ARM101 and LeKiwi builds. What can you use it for? Controller for a self-built SO-ARM100 / SO-ARM101 leader or follower arm Setting servo IDs and offsets before assembly LeKiwi mobile base and OpenDuck Mini servo bus Any Feetech-servo robot driven from Python, ESP32 or Arduino Who is it for?Builders assembling SO-101 arms from servos and printed parts, and anyone who needs a spare or second USB servo interface.Compatibility Servos: Feetech STS3215, STS3250, STS3235, SCS series Hosts: Windows, macOS, Linux, Raspberry Pi (USB serial); ESP32 / Arduino / STM32 via UART Software: Hugging Face LeRobot (feetech motor bus), Waveshare servo tool, Feetech SDK Power: 9–12.6 V DC in; use 12 V 5 A for six STS3215-C018 Specifications Model Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A) Servo protocol Feetech ST / SC series half-duplex TTL bus (STS3215, STS3250, SCS series) Host interface USB-C (CH343 serial) or 3-pin UART header (TX / RX / GND), selectable by jumper Servo ports 2 × 3-pin servo headers; daisy-chain up to 253 servos Power input DC 9–12.6 V via 5.5 × 2.1 mm barrel jack or screw terminal Onboard Power switch circuitry, PWR LED, brass standoffs Software LeRobot Feetech motor bus, Waveshare bus servo tool, Python SDK, Arduino / ESP32 / Raspberry Pi examples Size About 40 × 30 mm Country of origin China; packed and shipped from Singapore What's in the box 2 boards — one leader and one follower arm: 2 × Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A) with brass standoffs — one per arm of an SO-ARM101 pair (no cables or power supply) 4 boards — bimanual rig or class bench: 4 × Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A) with brass standoffs — two arm pairs, or four student benches (no cables or power supply) 1 board — single arm or bus: 1 × Waveshare Bus Servo Adapter (A) with brass standoffs (no cables or power supply) Shipping and returnsShips from our warehouse in Singapore with tracking. Parts and accessories are charged by parcel weight, the same rates everywhere: $11.99 up to 250 g, $19.99 to 500 g, $34.99 to 1 kg and $59.99 to 2 kg. Orders over $100 that stay under 500 g ship free. Standard tracked runs 5–18 business days; DHL Express (3–5 business days) is offered at checkout if you need it sooner. Within Singapore: $6, or free over $110. Assembled robot-arm kits over 2 kg are built and calibrated to order in Singapore (dispatch in 7–10 business days) and ship worldwide at carrier cost: SingPost Speedpost Priority from $124.99 (10–14 business days) or DHL Express from $229.99 (3–5 business days), shown at checkout. 7-day returns; defective items are replaced or refunded with shipping covered. Import duties, where charged by your country, are paid by the recipient. One parcel, one shipping charge: small parts travel together, so the postage on a single 70 g servo is the same as on six of them. A 500 g parcel holds roughly six servos plus horns and cables — which is also about where an order passes $100 and ships free. If you are buying one small item, it is usually worth checking what else you will need for the same build.Frequently asked questionsHow many boards do I need? One per servo chain. A standard SO-ARM101 build is a leader arm and a follower arm on separate buses, so it needs two — that is the default pack. A LeKiwi base or a single arm needs one; a bimanual rig or a classroom with four benches needs four. Two boards weigh 80 g, the same postage band as one.Is this the same as the BusLinker V3.0?Functionally yes: both turn USB into the Feetech servo bus and pass DC power to the servos. The Waveshare board is the one used in the original SO-100/SO-101 build guides and LeKiwi; the BusLinker is Hiwonder's version. LeRobot works with either. Can it power the servos from USB?No. USB only powers the logic. Servos take power from the barrel jack or screw terminal, so connect a 12 V (or 7.4 V) supply. How many servos can I chain?Up to 253 addresses on one bus; in practice six per arm, limited by the power supply, not the board.
