Description Waveshare ESP32-S3-DualEye-Touch-LCD-1.28 Dual Round Touch LCD Dev Board is an ESP32-S3 based AIoT development platform with two onboard 1.28 inch round touch LCDs. It integrates the ESP32-S3R8, 16MB Flash, 8MB PSRAM, dual 240 × 240 IPS displays, touch control, TF card support, audio input and output, lithium battery charging, and expansion interfaces in a compact dual-screen form factor. One of its standout features is that the board can be split into two halves and linked by FPC, and with resistor changes plus software configuration it can also support a three-screen display function, making it especially useful for creative HMI, AI toys, robotics, wearable concepts, and custom embedded interfaces. Features ESP32-S3R8 controller with dual-core Xtensa LX7 architecture and up to 240MHz operating frequency. Two 1.28 inch round IPS LCDs with 240 × 240 resolution and 65K color output. Touch control support using CST816 controllers over I2C with interrupt support. GC9A01A display drivers for both LCD panels over SPI. Large onboard memory with 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM for LVGL and multimedia workloads. Audio hardware with ES8311, ES7210, microphone, amplifier, and speaker connection. Flexible physical structure with split-board operation and FPC interconnect capability. TF card and lithium battery support for portable and media-oriented applications. Resources Wiki / User Guide Resources and Documents Working with Arduino Working with ESP-IDF ESP32-S3 Datasheet ESP32-S3 Technical Reference Manual LVGL Documentation FAQ What makes this board different from a normal 1.28 inch ESP32 display board? This model uses two onboard 1.28 inch round displays in a DualEye layout, not a single screen. It is designed for more expressive GUI, robotics, and interactive AIoT concepts. Can the board be split into two halves?Yes. The official hardware design supports split-board operation using the FPC connection method. When configured correctly, it can also be adapted for three-screen display use. Is it suitable for LVGL and touch GUI projects?Yes. With dual GC9A01A-driven round LCDs, CST816 touch, and ample memory, this board is well suited to LVGL-based touch interface development.
