Description The Waveshare 4.3-DSI-TOUCH-A is a 4.3 inch DSI touch display for embedded interfaces, Raspberry Pi projects, and compact human-machine interfaces. It combines a 480 × 800 IPS panel, MIPI DSI 2-lane display interface, GT911 capacitive touch controller, and I2C touch communication in a slim display assembly. The optical-bonded panel uses toughened glass with hardness up to 6H, while the aluminum-alloy back cover provides passive cooling. This 4.3 inch DSI touch display uses portrait orientation by default and can be configured for landscape operation in software. It supports up to 60 Hz refresh, software backlight brightness control, and 5-point capacitive touch when supported by the host operating system. Notice: Supply the display with 5 V within the specified 4.75–5.25 V range and provide at least 200 mA input current. Connect power through the host GPIO 5 V and GND pins as described in the documentation, check the DSI cable orientation before powering on, and handle FFC connectors gently during insertion or removal. Features 4.3 inch IPS display: 480 × 800 hardware resolution with a wide 170° viewing angle. 5-point capacitive touch: GT911 touch controller with I2C touch communication. MIPI DSI interface: 2-lane DSI connection for compatible host boards and display drivers. Optical bonding: Clearer image presentation with a toughened glass touch panel rated up to 6H hardness. Smooth display output: Supports up to 60 Hz refresh and software backlight brightness control. Passive cooling construction: Aluminum-alloy back cover without an active cooling fan. Embedded-system support: Suitable for Raspberry Pi, RK3506, ESP32-P4, and RK3576 host platforms when the required interface and software support are available. For Pi 4B, 3B+, 3B, or 3A+, use the 12 cm DSI cable with the 15-pin DSI interface. Supply 5 V and GND through the host GPIO header and secure the assembly with compatible M2.5 screws. Display orientation and software: The panel is portrait by default. On Raspberry Pi, select the DSI overlay that matches the physical DSI connector, then configure rotation and touch orientation in the operating system when required. The display documentation also covers backlight control, touch modes, and the on-screen keyboard. The 4.3 inch DSI touch display is documented for Raspberry Pi 5, CM5, CM4, CM3+, CM3, Pi 4B, Pi 3B+, Pi 3B, and Pi 3A+ when the correct DSI cable, power connection, and software configuration are used. What is the native display orientation? The native resolution is 480 × 800 in portrait orientation. Landscape orientation and touch rotation can be configured in software. Does the display support multi-touch? It supports up to 5-point capacitive touch. Whether multi-touch is available depends on the host operating system and its touch mode configuration. Can it work with an ESP32-P4 host? Yes. The documentation describes a 2-lane MIPI DSI connection to an ESP32-P4-Module-DEV-KIT and a compatible display driver component. What power should be provided? Provide 5 V within the 4.75–5.25 V range and at least 200 mA input current. Follow the documented GPIO 5 V and GND connection and do not power the display with an out-of-range voltage. What is included? The package includes the 4.3-DSI-TOUCH-A display, DSI and FFC cables, the MX cables listed above, and a standoff set.
