We named it for exactly where it goes: big, ripe cherry, jammy dark-fruit sweetness and a rich, viscous texture that is unusual at 45%. Classic Eagle Rare oak, toffee and gentle spice sit underneath, and the finish is long and cherry-led. After eleven years the barrel had concentrated so far that it gave just 90 bottles, and it is one of the first Buffalo Trace single-barrel selections in the new 700ml Australian format. 750mlBottle two Eagle Rare Single Barrel – Chapter Three Selected exclusively for Whisky Wayfarers · 11 years 3 months · 45% The one for the back bar. Eagle Rare's ten-year statement is a floor, not a ceiling, and this barrel took another fifteen months of Kentucky summers before anyone came for it. Cut to the same 45% as the standard bottling, so the only variables are the extra time and the single cask.
