Grab some non-corrosive bolts or screws suited to your surface.3. Position the bottom plate. Use a spirit level to ensure the stem is perfectly vertical before tightening—accuracy matters.4. Assemble the NSEW cross with the Lock Washer.5. Use a compass to find North, align your weathervane, and tighten the lock bolt.6. Apply a little grease to the axle before sliding the top section on. Note: Ensure the ball bearing slides up inside the axle to rest on top of the shaft—this is the secret to that friction-free, silent rotation.
