The weBoost Connect RV 65 is a 4G LTE voice and data signal booster kit designed for use in a parked RV. It is FCC and Industry Canada approved for use with all North American cell carriers. The Connect RV 65 has been designed specifically with destination RVers in mind. The kit includes a telescoping pole (up to 25' tall) which allows the powerful outside yagi antenna to maximize the signal from the nearest cell tower. Initial installation and setup takes approximately 30 minutes, after which setting up/taking down the pole and outside antenna when moving takes only 10 minutes. The Connect RV 65 is more powerful than weBoost's other parked RV option, the weBoost RV 4G, in several ways. It offers 65 dB of gain to the RV 4G's 60, which makes the boosted signal stronger. The outside antenna is a pole-mounted yagi antenna, which is better able to pick up weaker signal, from further away. There are two main differences between these two popular RV booster kits. The first is that the Connect RV 65 can only be used while the vehicle is parked. If you want to boost signal while driving, you will need the Drive 4G-X OTR. The second difference is that the Connect RV 65 is a more powerful booster (it offers 65 dB of gain vs. the Drive 4G-X OTR's 50 dB). This means that it will offer stronger signal and a greater coverage area than the Drive 4G-X OTR. The Drive 4G-X OTR will only cover all of the RV if outside signal strength is moderate to strong. If there is very weak outside signal, the booster will only boost signal across a few square feet near the unit. The reason for the difference in gain is that FCC regulations limit in-vehicle boosters to 50dB of gain while driving.
